Toronto Chiropractic

Chiropractic treatment may include a combination of various therapies aimed at restoring a patient's musculoskeletal system to facilitate recovery from injury, return to activities of daily living, and/or optimize performance.  Chiropractic generally involves a hands-on approach and may also include a wide variety of therapies, including: myofascial or active release therapy (ART), spinal or extremity joint manipulation or mobilization, patient education, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and shockwave therapy.  Treatment options are selected based on the specific needs and individual goals of each patient.

At Activecare, our chiropractors collaborate with the other disciplines at our facility to maximize the effectiveness of treatment and achieve the best rehabilitative outcomes.  In particular, chiropractic treatment heavily overlaps with services provided by its physiotherapists, including the use of modalities, joint mobilizations and exercise prescription.  Both disciplines integrate passive and active therapies, in accordance with evidence-based practice guidelines.

Chiropractic treatment is effective at treating most conditions of the musculoskeletal system including but not limited to the following:
  • Neck and back pain
